Hollywood superstar Nicole Kidman has proved to be a blessing for Slumdog Millionaire kid Rubina Ali. The nine-year-old has been paid more than what she got for working in Slumdog for a drinks commercial with Nicole. At least that is what Rubina’s father Rafiq Ali has claimed. Rafiq had reportedly gone on record saying the money Rubina received for doing the commercial with Nicole was more than what the makers of the multiple Oscar-winning film paid her. “The people of Slumdog Millionaire haven’t kept their promises, despite all the media attention they have received. We have no information about the supposed trust fund. Even the £ 21 (about Rs 1,470)- a- month stipend that they were giving for Rubina’s studies has stopped,” Rafiq told British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
Meanwhile, Nicole’s co- star in the advertisement Arjun Rampal has gifted the Hollywood stunner a sari specially designed for her by Tarun Tahiliani. Nicole was reportedly touched and happy with the gift. For those who came in late, Arjun and Nicole had been shooting for five days for the ad, which has been directed by Shekhar Kapur. In fact, Arjun’s wife Meher Jessia too gifted her a Tarun Tahiliani sari. It is sheer Italian metallic chiffon with tiny Swarovski crystals attached to it.

Bromance’ star Frankie Delgado has denied reports that he is dating R&B singer Rihanna. The TV star said he was not romantically involved with the singer, recently in news for being assaulted by boyfriend Chris Brown.

Despite rumours circulating that the two are dating, Delgado said he and Rihanna were “just friends”, reported the People magazine online.

Delgado, who has starred in MTV’s The Hills and Bromance , said the rumour got started because “she’s been out, hanging out, I guess. It’s Hollywood, people talk a lot.”

Asked how she was doing, he said, “She’s good.” Though Rihanna, 21, and Brown, 19, reconciled and were together in Miami soon after he was charged with assaulting her, reports suggest that Umbrella singer has decided to take a break from the relationship.

The Disturbia singer recently returned to LA after a trip to New York, where she had business meetings and spent time with her manager, her mentor Jay-Z, Beyonce and Brandy.

“She is looking forward to getting back to work and focusing on her career again,” a source said, adding that Rihanna’s trip was also designed to help her “clear her mind and take things one day at a time.”

Jade Goody’s husband will pay a personal tribute to his late wife with a touching ode at her funeral on April 4. According to reports, Jack Tweed referred to several funeral poems before penning the grief at the loss of his better half in his own verse.

One of his friends has revealed that the 21-year-old, who lost his wife to cervical cancer on March 22, wanted his poem, If Only, to mirror what he and Goody’s fans felt.

“It will be a complete tear-jerker and there won’t be a dry eye in the church,” the Sun quoted the pal as saying.

“Jack knows thousands of people have been affected by Jade’s death and he wants his words to reflect that,” the pal added.

A line in the ode reportedly reads: “If only tears could build a stairway and heartaches make a lane we would walk the path to heaven and bring you back again.”

However, according to the late star’s friends, her family’s favourite stanza said: “God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best.”

The funeral will be held at St John The Baptist Church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, and guests expected to attend the service include Sugababes and Kerry Katona.

London: Pop star Natasha Bedingfield has confirmed that she wept bitterly while walking down the aisle.

The ‘Pocketful of Sunshine’ hitmaker, who recently got married to businessman Matthew Robinson in Malibu, was tearful while her father accompanied her towards her Matthew.

“I started crying when I walked down the aisle with my dad John. I’d made sure I had waterproof mascara, because I cry when I’m happy. I felt so at peace and felt no fear. Even when Matt and I were taking our vows we were whispering, ‘This just feels so natural, like it was meant to be,” the Sun quoted her as saying.

Even Natasha’s husband Matthew was oozing with overwhelming emotions on his big day.

“It wasn’t until I saw Natasha come down the aisle with her proud papa that I started to breathe heavily,” he said.

“She was stunning, absolutely beautiful. It was quite a sight; I didn’t expect it to be that overwhelming,” he added.

That is exactly what happened recently when Aish made an appearance at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan to collect her Padma Shri award. It was a pleasure for the lens men who went on clicking when the beauty walked past them. She was rightly described by one of the NDTV presenters as “another Indian wonder” during the unveiling of the seven wonders of India.

Aish had the same effect on the Bachchan family friend and SamajwEditadi politician Amar Singh, who accompanied Mr. Bachchan and his bahu for the Padma Shri awards. Aish and hubby Abhi will soon appear together in a Manirathnam-directed trilingual film titled ‘Raavan’. The story of this film, as we had mentioned earlier, is an extract from the epic Ramayana. The film is under progress and is expected to hit theatres in the second half of 2009.

Shah Rukh Khan The Best Ramp Walk,Bollywood

Ever looked at those picture perfect fashion models walking on the runway and wondered how they do it? Well, actor Shah Rukh Khan has the answer.

“I was told the secret was to suck your cheeks in, pout your lips and look really angry, when you walk the ramp,” Khan told a wildly cheering audience after he walked the ramp for Manish Malhotra at Mumbai’s Lakme Fashion Week.

Looking dapper in a black-and-gold jacket and cheered on by celebrities Arjun Rampal, Preity Zinta, Kajol and Karan Johar, Khan was clearly the show-stopper on Monday night.

Khan’s tongue-in-cheek humour was also in full form, because he thanked Malhotra for being the first fashion designer ever “to design a sling” — referring to the matching gold-and-black sling he wore for the show.

Doctors have advised the 43-year-old actor to keep his arm in a sling for at least six weeks after he underwent shoulder surgery last month.

Of course, Khan wasn’t the only Bollywood attraction at the fashion week.

Earlier on Monday, Akshay Kumar walked the ramp for designer Tarun Tahiliani and asked wife Twinkle, seated in the front row, to unbutton the fly of his jeans.

Bollywood stars sure are getting bold on the ramp.
