Jackson thought that somebody wanted to kill him

Michael Jackson was worried that someone wanted to kill him, it has emerged. According to Michael Jackson family attorney Brian Oxman, the King of Pop feared people were keen to end his life for his money and music publishing rights. Jackson owned around 1 billion dollar worth of rights to his own music and more than 200 Beatles songs. "He feared somebody wanted to kill him. He was even concerned that people would kill him to somehow try to take control of the Beatles back-catalogue," the Daily Express quoted lawyer Brian Oxman as telling US magazine Life & Style Weekly.Jackson , 50, died last Thursday after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles. It is believed that Michael had been taking "some prescription medications," which resulted in his death. "He appeared to be taking a variety of strong narcotics, and many of those drugs were obtained in the names of his staff and associates," an insider said. "While the people around him insist they were acting in his best interest, the drugs were used to control and manipulate Michael - and the drugs eventually killed him," the insider added.
