Nadya Suleman: 'I felt ostracized and excluded'

march.26.09
So why did Nadya Suleman fire her free nannies? "I felt extremely uncomfortable in my own home," the octuplet mom said via phone today on Dr. Phil's show. "I felt ostracized and excluded." She also said there was "poor communication" and "negative energy."

She said she prefers her own nannies and Kaiser Permanente nurses from the hospital. She also felt it was "so unprofessional and unethical" for one of the Angels in Waiting (the organization that had donated its caregivers) nurses to suggest that someone could kidnap her children. "Maybe she was joking," said Nadya, but she said there have been threats. "These kids need to be protected at all times."

Linda West-Confiti, an AIW nurse who was in the house when the four babies came home, said she was concerned about security, in light of the intense media coverage. But that was just one problem. She also said Nadya's nannies were "showing up positive for TB testing ... That whole house was exposed to possible TB." And West-Conforti says Nadya played to the cameras, not her children. "How can I talk to Nadya when she’s out shopping or up in her room reading 200 letters instead of feeding the babies? The only time Nadya was feeding the babies was when a film crew was in her house. ... This woman does not care for these kids. That is my honest opinion. She is in there for the paparazzi, the media."
