The biggest problem in life is that we tend to live either in the past or in the future and that leaves us with no time to live in the present. Nishchay Sachdeva, for whom the beauty of life lies in living it in the present, does it delightfully by striking a perfect balance between being a sales manager for an insurance firm and a fitness instructor.
“There is a wonderful world of the present that we miss out on when we tend to brood over the past or worry about the future too much,” he says while warming up for an evening schedule at the gym.
Nishchay, who has also trained various Bollywood stars like Hrithik Roshan, Uday Chopra, Rani Mukherjee, Parmeet Sethi and even Madhuri Dixit during his four-year stay in Mumbai, leaves for his office at 9 am, interacts with customers convincing them about his firm's plans and schemes and comes back home in the evening around 5 pm just to enter his gym and take up the job of being a fitness trainer.
It was his initial interest in acting that took him to Mumbai in the late 90s. “I was interested in acting and joined an acting course at Kishore Namit Academy in Juhu and took up the job of fitness instructor at The Club which was visited by a galaxy of stars from the tinsel town,” he recalls.
His proximity to the Bollywood stars also earned him acting assignments soon. He bagged a role in the movie 'Maine Dil Tujhko Diya', apart from starring in a couple of TV soaps including Muzrim Kaun on Sahara TV and Thriller at 10 on Zee. But he had to decide against continuing his stint in Mumbai and the luck brought him back to his home town.
“I had opened Prime Bodies in Shastri Nagar in 1995 but had not been able to look after it when I was in Mumbai. So when I came back I revived it,” he says. At 37, Nishchay says he is content with his life today, and training people and seeing them achieve results gives him the real satisfaction.
“The moment you start exercising your mind receives signals and makes itself feel lighter. The adrenaline released during the physical exercise does the trick. So, however, mentally stressed out one is, when he or she comes to the gym, working out makes them relieved,” he feels.
“I have been into body building since I was 14. I got the inspiration from my father who was in the Army. He was a fitness freak and even today at 80 he is still hale and hearty, thanks to the fitness regime he followed in his life. So it was natural for me to become drawn to fitness,” he tells about his interest in body building.
