NEW DELHI, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Australian crooner Kylie Minogue is the highest paid foreign celebrity in Bollywood, according to a report published by daily tabloid Mail Today Friday. Minogue, reportedly has been paid almost 1.1 million U.S. dollars for a dance number in Bollywood director Anthony D.Souza' s upcoming film "Blue".
Writer director Anees Bazmee, whose film "Singh is King" featured U.S. rapper Snoop Dogg, said he believed that international artists bring in an added attraction for Bollywood, as they are famous globally and especially among the youth, according to the report.
"Famous names play a huge role in getting huge initials at Box office. But the film must be impressive to justify their presence," he was quoted as saying.
Citing industry estimates, the paper said Sylvester Stallone and Brandon Routh are pocketing over 400,000 U.S. dollars each for a cameo in Sajid Nadiadwala's "Kambakht Ishq".
For the same film, ex-Bond girl Denise Richards will get over 204,000 U.S. dollars.
